MR fluids are the suspension system of magnetic particles dispersed in liquid matrix. A similar liquid-solid phase transitions are generated by an applied magnetic field. The apparent viscosity and yield stress are increased in two to three orders of magnitude. Through long-term study, the stable performance and high effect MR fluids have been produced, and a disc rotary testing system for rheological property has been developed.
