Control Methods

Vibration control is a very common problem in the construction, ship and machinery. The research work had been carried out at the beginning of the foundation of the laboratory. This work includes modal theory of the general linear vibration system (including defective system), modal theory of non-linear vibration system, theory about multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) experimental modal analysis and identification (including time domain and frequency domain). In this field, an algorithm and relevant software has been developed. In addition, we also address ourselves to the sensitivity analysis, failure diagnosis, loading identification, vibration active control and their practical applications. Recently, the active vibration control has attracted the considerable interest in the area of vibration control. The devices of novel semi-active and active vibration control for noise reduction are being developed.
