第18届国际电磁流变会议（The 18th International Conference on Electrorheological Fluid and Magnetorheological Suspensions，简称ERMR2023）于2023年6月9日-12日在中国重庆召开。这是时隔二十年再次在中国举办该国际会议。来自20余个国家的200余名学术同行齐聚于此，共襄盛会。会议主题涵盖了铁磁流体、磁流变液、电流变液、磁流变弹性体和其它新型智能材料的制备、物理性质、力学行为、工程应用，以及新的实验方法、器件的建模仿真控制理论。本次会议由重庆大学主办，中国科学技术大学、中国力学学会共同承办，龚兴龙教授为会议共同主席。龚兴龙教授、宣守虎教授、王胜副教授、汪伯潮博士、桑敏博士、刘帅、王康、孙玉玺、李文文、李颜、杨谨瑜参加了会议。
大会开幕式由会议主席余淼教授主持，龚兴龙教授作了题为“3D printing magnetorheological elastomer for magnetic actuator applications”的大会特邀报告，宣守虎教授作了题为“Dual-mode soft actuators with electrothermal and magneto-responsive performance”的邀请报告，王胜副教授作了题为“Preparing smart magnetorheological foam and designing multifunctional devices”的邀请报告并主持了一个口头报告环节。
此外，汪伯潮博士作了“Nonlinear Dynamic model of Isotropic Magnetorheological Elastomer and Exploring the Application in Magnetic Actuation”口头报告；刘帅作了“Magnetorheological elastomer based multi-functional e-skins with thermal-magnetic-mechanical monitoring performance”口头报告；王康作了“Particle-level Dynamic Simulation for Magnetorheological Properties of the Magnetic Fluid Based on nanospheres-Chains”口头报告；孙玉玺作了“Preparation, magnetorheological properties and stability of MXene@CI based magnetorheological fluid”口头报告。桑敏博士展示了“Magnetorheological elastomer-based composite with mechanically sensitive conductivity and magnetic-mechanical monitoring performance”墙报；李文文展示了“Magnetorheological Elastomer Based Multilayer Composites for Electrothermal and Magneto-actuating Applications”墙报；李颜展示了“Characterization of the Magnetic-dependent Mullins Effect and Nonlinear Viscoelasticity of Magnetorheological Elastomer”墙报；杨谨瑜展示了墙报“Constitutive Modeling of Isotropic Magnetorheological Elastomer: Modulus Magnetic Stiffening and Magnetic Dependent Nonlinear Dynamic Behavior”，并获得了最佳墙报奖。
会议期间还召开了组委会会议，龚兴龙教授参加了会议。会议讨论了本次会议的若干细节，并重点讨论了下届会议的举办单位，下届会议将于2025年在加拿大召开。
