2018年10月11日-15日，The Asian Conference on Experimental Mechanics (ACEM) 2018在西安市举行。龚兴龙教授、宣守虎副教授、王宇副教授携博士生陈开慧、文乾乾、赵文强参加了会议。宣守虎副教授作了邀请报告" Anti-impact performance of shear thickening gel and its composites”，陈开慧作了Oral报告"Frictional Contact Network in the Discontinuous Shear Thickening Fluids”，文乾乾作了Oral报告" Transient Response of Magnetorheological Elastomer to Step Magnetic Field”，赵文强作了Oral报告" Increase of Zero Field Shear Storage Modulus of MRPs under Oscillation Shear”。
龚兴龙教授是这次会议的co-chair，会议期间参加了Committee会议，并主持了一场Plenary Lecture。宣守虎副教授是会议Local Scientific Committee委员，并主持了一个Session。
