2016年7月4日-8日，电磁流变国际盛会the 15th International Conference on Electrorheological Fluids and Magnetorheological Suspensions (ERMR 2016)在韩国仁川举行。龚兴龙教授带领宣守虎副教授、博士生王志远、汪昱、阮晓辉、陈潜参加了会议。龚老师应邀作了Plenary Lecture: "Recent Advance in Shear Thickening Fluid and Shear Thickening Gel”，王志远作了Oral报告"The Normal Stress of Electrorheological Fluid under Compression”，汪昱作了Oral报告"Microstructure and Stimuli Dependent Impedance of Magnetorheological Elastomers”，阮晓辉作了Oral报告"Magnetorheological Damper Working in Squeeze-Shear Mode” ，陈潜作了Oral报告"Shear Time Dependent Viscosity of the Polystyreneethylacrylate Colloidal Suspensions” ，宣老师也作了Poster报告"Polyurethane Sponge Reinforced Magnetorheological Material”。
龚兴龙教授是这次会议的International Advisory Committee委员，会议期间参加了Committee会议，评选了最佳学生poster奖和下届会议举办单位，还作为chair，主持了分会场Session 4.4. Engineering Applications of MR Materials (5).
