由日本东北大学举办的Eighteenth International Conference on Flow Dynamics (ICFD2021)于2021年10月27日-29日在日本仙台市召开，因为疫情，会议线上线下同时进行。M. Nakano (Tohoku University), X. Gong (University of Science andTechnology of China), W. Li (University of Wollongong), G. Sebald (INSA Lyon / TohokuUniversity)组织了OS7：Smart Fluids & Soft Matters and Their Advanced Applications。
